Microenterprise grants awarded
June 27, 2012 —
A total of $165,000 in grant funding has been awarded to 11 Sullivan County businesses under the county’s Microenterprise Assistance Program (MAP). The program targets Main Street businesses that are located within downtown areas and provide goods and services, and “Agri-business” enterprises, including farms, agriculture support businesses and businesses that process farm products.
Earlier this year, 86 business owners submitted applications. Thirty-four were selected to participate in a comprehensive Entrepreneurial Training Program.
