Foodstock a hit for WJFF
May 9, 2012 —
There were a total of 62 vendors at Foodstock this year, offering a wide array of locally produced culinary delights ranging from cheeses to produce to locally made wine and spirits. The offerings drew a crowd of over 500 people to the Villa Roma Resort and Conference Center in the Beechwoods.
The event is a fund-raiser for the member-supported local public radio station WJFF. Station manager Winston Clark said, “We are grateful to the hundreds and hundreds of hungry guests who swarmed into Foodstock throughout the day, to the scores of remarkable food and beverage vendors who offered tastes of their very best, and to Paul Carlucci, Kevin Ducey and the remarkable staff of the Villa Roma whose support makes it all possible. Because of them, we were able to raise over $10,000 to help keep the voice of not-for-profit, community radio strong and clear. Foodstock will be back next year and far into the future.”
