Warren “Sparky” Todd of Lake Como, PA died Friday, November 18, 2011 at Wayne Woodlands Manor in Waymart, PA. He was 87.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, the former Pearl T. Malinski. The couple married June 7, 1947.

Born November 5, 1924 in Hancock, NY, he was the son of Frank S. and Ethel LaBar Todd.

Warren was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and Purple Heart recipient. He took part in the invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 209 in Lake Como. He later was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed woodworking.

Also surviving are daughter Roberta Sidle and husband Jeffrey of Hawley, PA; son-in-law Ronald Baldwin; sister Rose Roney of Preston Park, PA; grandchildren Valerie Fox and husband Christopher of Beach Lake, PA and John Corcoran and wife Carol of Washingtonville, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his daughter Barbara Irene Baldwin; sister Lulu Piesecki; and brothers Herman and Clifford Todd.

Funeral services were held at Hessling Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, November 21. Interment with full military honors followed in Lake Como Cemetery.
