NYSEG to distribute a round of dry ice and water to customers without power

August 30, 2011

Sullivan County Manager David Fanslau announced that New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG) will distribute another round dry ice and bottled water to their customers that remain out of power from the impacts associated with Hurricane Irene. The distribution points are as follows from 12:00 noon today while supplies last.

1. Fallsburg Police Department 19 Railroad Avenue, South Fallsburg (845) 434-4422.

2. White Lake Fire House on Route 17B in White Lake.

3. White Sulpher Springs Fire House on Route 52 in White Sulpher Springs.

Dry ice and bottled water is expected to be distributed daily until power is restored to all of NYSEG's Sullivan County customers.

The fact that many of the power companies have been distributing dry ice and bottled water for the storms lately is great. I have been watching a news feed on this dry ice website. It makes me wonder, are the power companies required to distribute dry ice? Either way, I say good job to New York State Electric And Gas!
