‘Midnight in Paris’ at CineArt

August 11, 2011

CALLICOON, NY — The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) and the Callicoon Theater will present Woody Allen’s time travel comedy “Midnight in Paris,” starring Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams, on Friday, August 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Callicoon Theatre.

Wilson plays Gil Pender, a frustrated Hollywood screenwriter who travels to Paris with his fiancée Inez (Rachel McAdams) and her parents. When Gil finds himself looking for inspiration in the streets of Paris late at night, church bells striking midnight carry him into the 1920s to meet Gertrude Stein (Kathy Bates), Salvador Dalí (Adrien Brody), Zelda and Scott Fitzgerald, Cole Porter and others.

The film is rated PG-13 and will screen nightly at 7:30 p.m. from Friday, August 12 through Thursday, August 18 with matinees at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Admission costs $9, $6 on Mondays, at matinees and for children under 12.

CineArt is a partnership between the DVAA and the Callicoon Theater that promotes and screens independent, foreign and art films. A percentage of the profits and $1 per person from ticket sales benefit the programs and services of the DVAA. Visit www.ArtsAllianceSite.org or call 845/887-4460.
