Robert A. Utegg, a resident of White Mills, PA, died following an illness on Wednesday, April 13, at Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. He was 65.

He is survived by his wife, the former Georgette Marie Decker.

Born in White Mills, he was the son of the late John and Elsie Eply Utegg.

He was a school bus driver for Wallenpaupack Area School District. He had also been a driver for Fowler Oil for 22 years and had worked for Texas Township. He was a Texas Township Supervisor, former Chief of White Mills Fire Dept., current president of White Mills Volunteer Ambulance Corp., a member of Hawley Ambulance Corp. and the White Mills United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed fishing and his trips to Canada, as well as spending time at the farm in New York.

He is survived by sons Tom of Philadelphia, NY and Bryan and wife Amy of Honesdale, PA; grandchildren Brittany, Joshua and Alicia; brothers Harold of Narrowsburg, NY and Harry of Hawley, PA; sister Kathryn Coons of White Mills; and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by brothers John, William, David and Richard; niece Joanie; and nephew William.

A funeral service was held at White Mills United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 16 with Pastor Val Rommel officiating. Donations may be made to Hawley Ambulance Corps, 219 River St., Hawley, PA 18428.
