Charles K. Hatton Jr. of Honesdale, PA passed away Sunday March 20, 2011, at Fox Chase Hospital in Philadelphia. He was 71.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, the former Annetta Freiermuth. The couple married on April 25, 1964.

Born July 23, 1939, he was the son of the late Charles K. Hatton Sr. and the late Anna Lourdes Fox Hatton. He was a graduate of the Honesdale High School.

Charles was a Marine Corps Veteran, serving in Japan during the Korean War. He was a self employed electrical contractor for over 40 years. Charles was a member of the St. Johns Parish and a life member of the Cricket Hill Golf Club. He also collected antique cars and enjoyed gardening. He will be truly missed by his family and friends whom he loved dearly.

Charles is also survived by son Shawn Hatton of Beach Lake, PA; brothers John Hatton of Honesdale and Joseph Hatton and wife Cary of San Antonio, TX; an aunt, Grace Fox of Honesdale; and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a son, Craig Hatton; sister Mary Alicia Hatton; and a nephew.

As per his request, cremation was held at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale, PA.

The family will receive friends at the Hessling Funeral Home, 428 Main St., Honesdale, on Saturday, March 26 from 9 to 10 a.m. A memorial mass will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be made in Indian Orchard Cemetery, Honesdale.
