Margaret “Peggy” Peck

Margaret “Peggy” Peck of Narrowsburg, NY and formerly of Astoria, NY, longtime resident of the area, died Friday, January 25, 2013 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. She was 84.

The daughter of the late John and Margaret Delaney Rolleri, she was born in New York City, NY on January 3, 1929. She was married for 58 years to Gordon Peck, who passed away on June 16, 2007.

A family statement reads: “Peggy was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mom was a wonderful homemaker and we all miss her and her fast-witted comments.”

She is survived by her daughter Linda Thorpe and her husband Gary, of Beach Lake, PA; her son Robert Peck and his wife Joann of Narrowsburg; two granddaughters, Carolyn Curreri and Samantha Peck; a grandson Michael Peck; four great-grandchildren; and her caregiver Joy Mulliga, who became a member of our family and gave Mom loving care for the last two years.

She is predeceased by her husband Gordon, her sister Dorothy McCabe and her son Dennis Peck.

A mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church, Narrowsburg, NY. Rev. William Scully O.F.M. officiated.

Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery, Narrowsburg, NY.
