Martha Elizabeth Klopchin

Martha Elizabeth Klopchin, a resident of Barryville, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Bon Secours Community Hospital. She was 47.

The daughter of Frank Reiser and Martha M. Walsh Chioffe, she was born in Jersey City, NJ on January 7, 1965.

Martha was a member of Ridgewood Women Club and she was involved in the Monroe Library System. She led various groups in the library. She started Miss Martha’s Sunshine Center.

Survivors include her mother Martha Chioffe of Toms River, NJ; her companion David Feldbauer of Barryville, NY; her three children, Julia Marie Sahlberg of Toms River, Emma Bliss Klopchin and Gary James Klopchin Jr. of Barryville; her two brothers, Martin Reiser of Toms River and Michael Chioffe of Stanford, CT; and several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Martha is predeceased by her husband Lester Devens and her stepfather Victor Anthony Chioffe and her grandmother Martha A. Walsh.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home, 3412 SR 97, Barryville, NY, 12719. Cremation will follow in Maple Hill Crematory, Archibald, PA.
