Tusten: more energy savings considered

NARROWSBURG, NY — Despite an onslaught of wintery precipitation a full house was present to hear details of a program being considered by the Tusten Town Board, the result of which would be decreased energy costs for residential and small commercial customers.

Another fun-filled holiday weekend with family and friends. On Saturday, the Cochecton Youth Commission (CYC) had their Christmas Party at the Lake Huntington Fire Hall. The kids did crafts, coloring and sang along with Brad Rutledge and his kids, Matthew and Annabelle.

Sullivan development projects

MONTICELLO, NY — The project that’s towering over everything else in Sullivan County, in terms of economic development, is the Resorts World Catskills, the casinos slated to open in March 2018, which are currently seeking to fill 1,400 jobs. But there are also other projects going forward.

Wayne Rehabilitation Services opens

HONESDALE, PA — Some 60 people turned out for the re-opening of Wayne Memorial Hospital’s new outpatient rehabilitation services at 190 Delaware St. The staff was formerly located at the Stourbridge Complex on Maple Avenue.

Retiring Romich and Biondo honored

HONESDALE, PA — Wayne County’s two veteran jury commissioners were honored upon their upcoming retirement.

Judy Romich and Pat Biondo were lauded for their length and quality of service at the December 7 county commissioners’ meeting. Romich leaves after 24 years, while Biondo served for 17 years.
