UPPER DELAWARE RIVER REGION — Four public listening sessions on topics connected to the Flexible Flow Management Program on the Delaware River will be held to solicit public comments on flood mitigation; aquatic life and ecosystems; water supply obligations and reliability; recreational use; and other topics addressed by the program.

Two of the four sessions will be held in the Seelig Theater at SUNY - Sullivan County Community College in Loch Sheldrake, NY. They will take place on Tuesday, October 1, at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Two additional sessions will be held at the Nurture Nature Center in Easton, PA on Wednesday October 2, at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The listening sessions have been organized by the parties to the 1954 U.S. Supreme Court Decree entered in the Delaware River Case: New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York City, who are responsible for setting policy for releases from the New York City Reservoirs into the Delaware River Basin and ultimately into the Upper Delaware River.
