HAWLEY, PA — Authorities found the body of a man who was swimming off a boat on Lake Wallenpaupack on July 4, but who disappeared into the water and did not return. The incident took place at about 2 p.m., and divers searched into the evening, but did not find the man. The divers returned the next day and found the body of 35-year-old Ernesto Atriencia of North Bergan, NJ.
The swimmer was identified by Wayne County coroner Edward Howell. According to officials on the scene he was not wearing a life preserver.
