MIDDLETOWN, NY — On Sunday, June 22, the Korean War Veterans (KWVA), Chapter 202, in conjunction with the Korean American Foundation (KAF), USA, remembered and celebrated the sacrifices made by American and Korean veterans 64 years ago to preserve peace and democracy on the Korean peninsula.
According to survivors, their sacrifices and blood, sweat and tears resulted in the economically thriving and culturally advanced democracy of South Korea, which today ranks among the top 10 economies in the world. Dr. Hubert H. Lee, right, president of the KAF, USA and first vice president of KWVA Chapter 202, honored Judge Frank J. LaBuda for his continued support of the Korean people and the foundation at American Legion Post 151 in Middletown.
