MONTICELLO, NY — Monticello police arrested Daniel Ridley, 28, of Monticello on February 28. Ridley was charged with felony assault and misdemeanor menacing. Ridley was arrested after Monticello police received a complaint from a 29-year-old Monticello woman reporting that Ridley had punched her in the face and also displayed what appeared to be a revolver and threatened to kill her.

The incident took place at a residence in the Village of Monticello the day before the arrest. The victim, who is an acquaintance of Ridley, sustained a broken nose as a result of the assault and was treated at Catskill Regional Medical Center. Ridley was arraigned in the Village of Monticello justice court before Justice Josephine Finn and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $25,000 bail pending further court action.
