HAWLEY, PA — Ledges Hotel experienced a fire at 10 p.m. on February 14, and due to roof and water damage the hotel and restaurant are temporarily closed while repairs are made.

“It is very unfortunate to close our hotel temporarily, but we’re very thankful no one was injured,” said Ledges owner Justin Genzlinger. “We thank our staff, local firefighters and other emergency responders for a quick response that limited the damage and ensured guest safety.”

Staff members were alerted by smoke detectors, and the sprinkler system then activated. The hotel, which was at full occupancy, was evacuated within 15 minutes. Guests were relocated to nearby Woodloch Springs within two hours.

Ledges is currently working with its insurance partners and contractors on plans to reopen as soon as possible. Until it reopens, all music events at the hotel also are cancelled.

Guests who had upcoming reservations will be contacted about alternative accommodations. Anyone with questions regarding their reservation or upcoming events should call The Settlers Inn at 570/226-2993.
