Glen Spey marijuana grow house raided

GLEN SPEY, NY — On Wednesday, January 8, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 144 Knight Road in Glen Spey.

Deputies found a sophisticated marijuana growing operation. “The crop was in the process of being harvested,” said Sheriff Michael Schiff. “There were only about 20 plants left but we recovered approximately 50 pounds of marijuana that had been processed and was ready for sale,” said the sheriff.

The nondescript house was located in a sleepy corner of the Town of Lumberland where neighbors were unlikely to suspect what was going on inside.

Deputies arrested Aron Joseph Feldstein, 39, who gave the grow house as his address. Feldstein was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a felony, and unlawfully growing marijuana. He was arraigned before Town of Lumberland Judge Charles Fallon and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.

The two-month investigation was conducted by the Sheriff’s Gang and Narcotics Intelligence Unit and the search warrant application was prepared by the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office.
