The PA Fish and Boat Commission is looking into a fishkill in Lake Ariel that involved an estimated 9,000 minnows and about 1,000 other types of fish, including some game fish.
The Department of Environmental Protection was notified about the event on July 24. Officials are not yet commenting on any possible causes, and the lake remains open to recreational activities.
