Easter Seals New York Project Excel located in Monticello has earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals.

“We’re proud to have earned the mark of quality from NAEYC, and to be recognized for our commitment to reaching the highest educational standards,” said Robin Doick, Regional Director of Easter Seals New York. “NAEYC accreditation lets families in our community know that children in our program are getting the best care and early learning experiences possible.”

Project Excel is a fully integrated preschool and one of Easter Seals New York’s largest providers of special education preschool and universal pre-Kindergarten. The school, which has a partnership with the Monticello Central School District, offers a developmentally appropriate pre-academic foundation and opportunities to participate in hands-on learning experiences, such as art, music and guided socialization activities. Staff members at Project Excel have expertise in serving children with various special needs and all teachers are certified and all teachers’ assistants are certified with Child Development Associate degrees.
