HARRISBURG, PA — The Children and Youth Committee of the Pennsylvania State House, chaired by Representative Kathy Watson, held a public hearing February 26 on a number of bills designed to further protect children. The measures deal with mandated reports of child abuse, improvement of procedures for reporting child abuse, protections from employment discrimination for those who report child abuse, and training for mandated reporters, including state-licensed professionals and child care workers.
