Patrick Milliken, 20, was arrested on December 16 for making a “terroristic threat” at the Delaware Valley Job Corps (DVJC) in Callicoon, where he is a student. According to a release from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s office, officials at the DVJC called police and said that Milliken had threatened to go to his home in Newburgh, obtain a gun, return to the facility and “shoot the place up.”

The threat was reportedly made to three separate individuals, and the suspect also threatened to kill himself. Before security at the school could detain him, he took off and could not be located for a while. Then security found him hiding behind a building and turned him over to the sheriff’s patrol, which had arrived on the scene a short while earlier.

Deputies arrested Milliken and charged him with three counts of making a terroristic threat, which is a felony. Milliken was arraigned before Town of Delaware Judge John Kramer and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail. The suspect’s next court appearance is January 3, 2013.

Milliken has been a student since April 2, 2012.
