New Jersey man arrested for scamming elderly woman

On November 16, 2012, the New York State Police in Kingston announce the arrest of Rasheem O. Eccleston, 20, from East Orange, NJ for Grand Larceny in the third degree.

Eccleston is accused of stealing approximately $33,300 from an elderly female subject who resides in the city of Kingston. The investigation revealed that Mr. Eccleston was involved in a lottery scam, where he fraudulently received money from the victim under false pretenses.

The incident occurred between 09/20/12 – 09/26/12 in the city of Kingston. Eccleston was arraigned in the Town of Marbletown Court and was remanded to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 secured bond. Eccleston was scheduled to appear in the City of Kingston Court on November 20, 2012.
