ALBANY, NY — Senator John Bonacic (R/C/I- Mt. Hope), left, last week honored Joanne Rosenberger of the Town of Delaware at the New York State Senate’s 15th annual Women of Distinction Celebration. Rosenberger has served as a Girl Scout leader for the past 20 years, and currently runs three troops to ensure all children who wish to participate have a place to do so.

This past year, Joanne and one of her troops built a nature and exercise trail behind the Delaware Youth Center in Callicoon, N.Y. The troop subsequently earned the highest award in Girl Scouts, the Gold Award. They were also instrumental in helping Callicoon win the top prize in the Sullivan County Renaissance competition.
