MILFORD, PA — The Pike County Transportation Department’s fleet of buses will soon carry ads on the vehicles’ sides, which will add some new revenue to the county’s coffers.
There are between 18 and 20 vehicles in the fleet. The ads will be marketed by KKPP Company, which does a similar service for other counties, including Monroe.
“This will cost the county nothing,” said Rich Caridi, chairman of the county commissioners.
It is estimated that the revenue from the program could be $50,000 a year. The first year, both the company and the county would share revenue on a 50/50 basis. Subsequent years the revenue will be 60/40, with the county receiving 60%.
