The danger that a necessary piece of equipment being shipped from the nation of Jordan was going to delay the opening of the proposed Pike County training center has been averted.
“We have happily found an American supplier of the critical air handlers to the HVAC systems at the center so that the opening of the new facility will happen on schedule,” said Rich Caridi, chairman of the Pike County Commissioners at their meeting on February 1.
Without the equipment, the project could not receive a certificate of occupancy, which is needed to move in necessary staff, he said.
