LAKEVILLE, PA — A Honesdale man has been sentenced to 12 to 48 months in jail for allegedly driving around the Cherry Ridge/South Canaan area with three other men in the early morning hours of July 21, and shooting at mail boxes, signs and trees with an AK47 assault rifle and a shotgun.
One of the bullets from the assault rifle reportedly went through the outside wall and two inside walls of a home on Mill Brook road and ended up in a room where a couple was sleeping.
William Christopher Harper, 23, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors, and in addition to the jail time, was ordered to pay more than $4,600 in restitution.
