Posted

The Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company (TGP), a subsidiary of El Paso Corporation, has begun preparations to construct and maintain water obstructions and encroachments associated with the Pike County portion of the Tennessee Gas Pipeline 300 Project, Loop 323. Depicted above is the work underway at the location where a 30-inch diameter steel natural gas transmission line will cross the Lackawaxen River in Lackawaxen Township.

As specified in the Pennsylvania Bulletin, 14 water crossings and 40 wetland impacts are planned in Pike County, affecting 7.61 acres of wetlands and approximately 952 feet of stream channel. In Wayne County, 26 water crossings and 55 wetland impacts will affect 11.49 acres of wetlands and approximately 1,768 feet of stream channel. Details can be seen at http://www.pabulletin.com/secure/data/vol41/41-19/767.html. TGP is proposing an additional expansion of the 300 Line. Visit www.northeastupgradeproject.com to learn more.
