Michael R. Brauser
Michael R. Brauser, 59, of Beach Lake, PA, a lifelong resident and a general contractor, passed away unexpectedly due to a myocardial infarction on Sunday, July 2, 2017. The son of the late Ralph Brauser and Dorothy Kleffmann Brauser, he was born September 3, 1957, in Callicoon, NY, and graduated from Honesdale High School, in the class of 1975. Michael was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Narrowsburg, NY, and the Antique Bottle Club of America. He was an automotive enthusiast who also enjoyed photography, but most of all, spending time with his family. He was married to Karen Sibel Brauser for 33 years. Their 34th wedding anniversary would have been in two weeks.
Survivors include his wife Karen; four children: Jessica Groff and her husband John of Quarryville, PA, Austin Brauser and girlfriend Victoria Roberts of Litchfield, England, Nigel Brauser of Chicago, IL and Mika Brauser of Beach Lake, PA; two grandchildren: Kyla and Chase Groff; his brother Larry Brauser of Windsor, CO; his mother-in-law Joan Winters, of Beach Lake, PA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service was held on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Narrowsburg, Rev. Phyllis Haynes officiating. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rasmussen Funeral Home, Narrowsburg.
