ELDRED, NY — Jeff Haas, supervisor of the Towns of Highland, issued a state of emergency on March 8, ordering, “that the National Guard and their equipment; Town of Highland Highway Department and their equipment; and the Sullivan County Department of Public Works and their equipment are authorized to be on the premises of any property within the Town for the purposes of power and infrastructure restoration.”
The order will remain in effect for five days unless rescinded earlier by Haas.
