A Berlin Township women has been hospitalized after being struck be two tires. The tires allegedly fell off a truck as it drove down Perkins Pond Road.
The woman is Joan Gillner, the executive director of the Dorflinger Suydam Sanctuary. According to a person familiar with the incident, Gillner suffered fairly serious injuries and is in Geisinger Community Medical Center.
The incident happend at about 9:30 am on February 15.
The truck driver did not stop, and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
