Your article “Tusten Becomes a Friend of the Court,” in the August 22–28 issue, really shows the difference between a self-serving politico and a true servant of the people.

I believe that Ned Lang admits his greed for gas dollars by voting against the people’s wishes. By contrast, Carol Ropke Wingert, despite her personal beliefs, votes for what the people want.

Hurrah, Carol. Boo, hiss, Ned.
