I am writing to encourage the citizens of the Town of Tusten to come out to the public hearing regarding a resolution put before the Tusten Town Board to oppose the enactment of any legislation that would infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear arms. Several towns in our area have already passed a similar resolution and sent it to Governor Cuomo and the New York State government without conducting a public hearing. Our wise council, however, decided to grant us a hearing.
The hearing is taking place on March 12 at 6:30 p.m. before the regular monthly township meeting in town hall. A copy, titled “Town of Tusten Resolution in Support of the Second Amendment,” can be obtained in the offices of the Tusten Town Hall.
