The Upper Delaware Council has had 30 days to reconsider its unprecedented interference with Lackawaxen Township land-use decisions. It is determined to protect the political construct that is the Upper Delaware River Corridor, at the expense of jobs and private property rights. Its mandate to advise has been violated. The river is protected, which is the only issue here. It’s time for new leadership in the UDC, leadership that responds to the needs of the working folk and not edicts of the NPS.
