Bridging the seasons and two states

NARROWSBURG, NY—Although winter doesn’t officially arrive until Friday, December 21, one glance around the Upper Delaware region would seem to indicate otherwise. This view of the bridge connecting Beach Lake, Pennsylvania, left, and Narrowsburg shows not only the heavy blanketing of snow received throughout the region during recent storms, but also the hastening accumulation of ice floes in the Delaware River. The bridge spans the mighty river at its narrowest and deepest points.

Page files federal lawsuit against Liberty school system

Action comes after being fired

LIBERTY, NY—If Angela Page lived in another state, she would be able to sue in state court to settle her grievances. But in New York State, an employee is not permitted to sue an employer for allowing hazardous conditions to exist in the workplace, even if those conditions render the employee disabled. That’s just a small part of the large education Page has received as a person who is now struggling with the illness called Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS).
