Sullivan County Cross-Country All-Stars

Runners who came on strongest late in the season chosen by area coaches

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY - Numerous outstanding performances were turned in by Sullivan County cross-country runners this past fall but a few really turned on the jets in the final meets of the year.

Coaches of the county teams were polled for their views and, in the end, it was the race results that spoke most resoundingly. Pictured below are the first-team athlete selections.

This year's first team boy selections include Brendan Devine of Monticello, Colin Seidl of Sullivan West, Nick Denman of Tri-Valley, Dave Wilbur of Monticello, Matt Layman of Sullivan West, Greg Lewis of Livingston Manor and Thomas Gonzalez of Monticello.

The girls first team is comprised of Courtney Roosa of Tri-Valley, Justine Davis of Monticello, Rachel Sanborn of Tri-Valley, Jessica Fingers of Monticello, Rianne Erlwein of Sullivan West, Emma Cohen of Monticello and Caroline Bertholf of Tri-Valley.

The girls second team includes Marisala Acevedo of Monticello, Grace Babula of Eldred, Rebecca Concors of Monticello, Shannon Hornbeck of Tri-Valley, Kim McKay of Liberty, Chelsie Schadt of Sullivan West and Naomi Weise of Tri-Valley.

Honorable mention was accorded to Brian Corcoran of Eldred, Trevor Tate of Liberty, Charlie Sanborn of Livingston Manor, Robert Venditti of Monticello, Russell Bryan of Sullivan West and Mike Freeman of Tri-Valley.

Girls honorable mention recipients are Ashley Vicari of Eldred, Kristen Sarno of Liberty, Jennifer Green of Livingston Manor, Dannielle Schnitzer of Monticello, Kendra Barker of Sullivan West and Ashley Weintraub of Tri-Valley.
