Theater to kick off Liberty’s July 4

LIBERTY, NY — The Liberty Free Theatre will celebrate the Fourth of July weekend with an official gala opening on Friday, July 2 at 7:30 p.m., featuring performances of Rilla Askew’s play, “Breakfast,” and Edward Allan Baker’s play, “Rosemary with Ginger.”

Festivities will begin at 7:00 with refreshments and music, and the theater will host a party after the show. Village and town officials will be present to welcome the public and celebrate the return of live dramatic performance to Main Street in Liberty.

In addition to the Friday shows, the plays will again be performed at 7:30 p.m. on July 3 and 4. All performances are free and open to the public. The plays contain some bold language and are not suitable for children. Seating is limited and reservations are suggested.
