Caregiver workshops

LIBERTY, NY — Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a free educational series designed to provide informal family caregivers with the tools needed to take care of themselves, will be offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCESC) Caregiver Resource Center in six Friday sessions beginning May 12. Workshops will run from 10 a.m.

MONTICELLO, NY — Donate Life Day was celebrated at the Department of Motor Vehicles office on April 21. All customers were offered refreshments, plus giveaways to those who signed up to be an organ donor. As of April 24, the office had signed up 143 new organ donors.

MONTICELLO, NY — May is Mental Health Month, and affiliates of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will once again be spearheading a “Ribbon Campaign” to raise awareness about serious mental illness and the presence of the NAMI chapters locally.

MONTICELLO, NY — The Rape Intervention Services and Education (RISE) Program at Catskill Regional Medical Center will host the sixth annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® event, an international campaign to stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence, on Saturday, April 22 at the Sullivan County Government Center, 100 North St.
