Police arrested Tyler Smith, 21, of East Syracuse NY May 28 and Corey Stone, 21, of Syracuse NY. Liberty Police found the men sleeping in a car in the McDonalds parking lot on Sullivan Avenue in the Village.

Officers smelt marihuana when checking the two individuals. Officers later discovered 26.6 grams of marihuana, 7 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms and several tablets of Hydrocodone and Ecstasy.

Smith and Stone were charged with Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the Fifth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, both are misdemeanors. The men were also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree a Felony.

Smith and Stone were arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and sent to the Sullivan County Jail on $250.00 bail. They are to appear back in Town Court at a later date.

Police arrested Adam Strawn, 31, of Ferndale NY, May 28 during a DWI check point in the Village of Liberty. The vehicle was stopped at a checkpoint because of a strong odor of marihuana. Strawn was the passenger in the vehicle. Officers found 33 plastic zip lock baggies of marihuana and approximately 25.8 grams of crack cocaine in a cooler. Straw was charged with Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the Fifth Degree a Misdemeanor, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree weighing one half ounce or more and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree with Intent to Sell, both Felonies. He was arraigned in Town Court and sent to the Sullivan County Jail without bail. Strawn is to spear back in Town Court at a later date.

Liberty Police arrested Andrew Walsh, 25, of Walpole Massachusetts May 30. Officers found Walsh in possession of 4.6 ounces of marihuana at a traffic stop and arrested him. He was charged with Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the Fourth Degree a Misdemeanor and was arraigned in Town Court and sent to the Sullivan County Jail on $2500.00 bail. Strawn is to appear back in Town Court at a later date.
