John J. Thomas of Glen Spey, NY passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Middletown Park Manor, Middletown, NY. He was 75.

He was born on October 29, 1936 in Bayshore, NY, the son of the late Emil and Bridget Agnes McGevan Thomas.

John served during the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He was a retired transportation supervisor for the U.S. Postal System in New York City. John married Kathleen Fitzpatrick Thomas , who pre-deceased him in 1990.

He is survived by his brother James Thomas and wife, Carol of Orlando, FL; one son; two daughters; one niece; long time companion Donna Mann of Port Jervis, NY; and many close friends at the James C. Bilz American Legion Post #685 and the Roosa-Fleming V.F.W. #161, both of Port Jervis.

Memorial services with Military Honors were held Wednesday, February 29 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Port Jervis. Rev. Wayne Varga officiated.
