Dorothy L. Batchelor of Narrowsburg, NY, a lifelong resident, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart, PA. She was 89.

The daughter of the late Louis and Lillian Roberts Buddenhagen, she was born December 23, 1922 in Narrowsburg, NY.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Narrowsburg.

A family statement reads, “Dorothy was a loving and caring, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She took great pride in her family, and was a big part of our lives. The family celebrated five generations. She will truly be missed and will always be in our hearts.”

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Nuttycombe and her husband Tom of Narrowsburg; two grandsons, Brett Bodine of Jacksonville, NC and Rod Bodine of Honesdale, PA; four great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson; her sister Ethel Royael and husband Bud of Dunedin, FL and several nephews.

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Thomas H. Batchelor, who passed away on August 2, 2007.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at Glen Cove Cemetery, Narrowsburg. Pastor Phyllis Haynes will conduct services.
