Edward W. Carey of Albany, NY passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2012 at his residence. He was 90.

He was born in Narrowsburg, NY and was the son of the late Charles and Vivian Carey.

Ed attended the Callicoon Seminary in Pennsylvania and had been a Franciscan Brother for 20 years. He worked as a lineman for New York Telephone and was later employed at Orange County Community College in Middletown, NY.

Ed was the devoted brother of Mary Rutzky; beloved uncle of Marianne Williams, Peggy Stryjek and Rosanne McKee; and is also survived by many grand nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his longtime companion, Marie Kaye.

Graveside services took place on Friday, February 3 at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Narrowsburg.
