MONTICELLO, NY — The George L. Cooke fifth-grade poets enjoyed their recent unit of study, “Playing with Words.” They played with specific techniques, line breaks, stanza, figurative language (such as similes) rhyme and alliterations to make unique poems as tumbling snowflakes.
