On Friday July 10th, 2015 the Village of Liberty Police Department arrested Randy Keator, 58 of Liberty, NY after an investigation into a stolen wallet. Police were initially alerted of the theft at approximately 5:00 p.m. on July 10th, 2015.
An investigation revealed that Keator had stolen the wallet, containing cash, ID and credit cards from the Shoprite on State Route 52 after a customer had set it down at a check out register.
Officers were able to recover the stolen wallet and some of its contents. Keator was arrested without incident and charged with grand larceny in the 4th degree, a felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail without bail to appear at a later date.
