Liberty man arrested for burglary

On Saturday July 11th, 2015 the Village of Liberty Police Department arrested Joseph Reyes, 28 of Liberty after an investigation into a burglary complaint. Police were called to a residence in Liberty at approximately 4:00 p.m. on July 11th, 2015 when a resident returned to her home and found the front door had been kicked in and several items had been damaged and broken inside.

Investigation resulted in Reyes being arrested later that night without incident. Reyes was charged with burglary in the 2nd degree, criminal mischief in the 3rd degree, both felonies and aggravated harassment in the 2nd degree, a misdemeanor. Reyes was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail without bail to appear at a later date.
