On September 26, 2014 State Police at Liberty and the Sullivan County Family Violence Response Team arrested Tyrone Chaneyfield, age 48 of Loch Sheldrake, NY for subjecting a child under the age of 13 to sexual contact over the course of a three year period.

Chaneyfield was charged with Rape in the First Degree and Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree, felonies. Chaneyfield was arraigned in the Village of Monticello Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail with no bail set.
