Middletown man arrested for Liberty Vehicle theft, DWI

On March 2nd, 2014 State Police arrested Robert Ramirez, age 24 of Middletown, NY after an investigation into the theft of a 2013 BMW X6 that occurred on July 2, 2013. At that time, the owner of the vehicle reported the vehicle stolen from an address in the Town of Liberty. The vehicle was located in the City of Middletown on July 7th, 2013 by Troopers from the Middletown barracks.

A State Police investigation determined that Ramirez had taken the vehicle from the residence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Ramirez was located by Troopers driving on Interstate 84 in Orange County on March 2nd, 2014. He was taken into custody and arrested for DWI. A warrant check revealed the outstanding warrant regarding the theft of the vehicle. Ramirez was issued appearance tickets for DWI returnable in the Town of Montgomery Court. He was turned over to Troopers from the Liberty barracks and arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court on a charge of Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree. He was released after posting $500 cash bail.
