The NEW YORK STATE POLICE at Ellenville, N.Y. announce the arrest of ALEX L. JORGE, age 29, of Wawarsing, NY, for the felony charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation.

On December 2, 2013, State Police at Ellenville responded to Walmart, located at 7500 Route 209, Wawarsing, in response to a complaint of a disorderly person. While interviewing JORGE in the parking lot by his vehicle, Troopers detected the odor of Marijuana and observed a Marijuana cigarette on the center console of JORGE’s vehicle. Subsequent to a search of JORGE’s vehicle, Troopers located 15 decks of Heroin and approximately eight grams of Marijuana. A further search of JORGE also resulted in recovering 2 grams of Cocaine located in his pocket.

JORGE was arraigned in the Town of Wawarsing Court before Town Justice Charles Dechon and was remanded to the Ulster County Jail, in lieu of $5,000.00 cash bail, or $10,000.00 secured bond, and ordered to return to the Town of Wawarsing Court on December 8, 2013 at 8:30am.
