Monticello police arrested Hiram Bolden jr. (38) of Monticello on Thursday 8/8/13. Bolden was charged with felony assault in the 2nd degree.

On Monday 8/5/13 at approximately 9:30 AM Bolden was involved in a dispute with a 38 year-old Florida woman who is a relative of Bolden’s. The incident took place at a residence on Wood Avenue in the village of Monticello.

During the dispute Bolden struck the woman several times in the head and face with a closed fist. The victim sustained a fractured nose as a result of the assault and was transported to C.R.M.C. by mobile medic ambulance for medical treatment.

Bolden was arrested on Thursday by Monticello Police officers on an arrest warrant after he was observed walking on Broadway. Bolden was remanded to the Sullivan county jail on $500.00 bail pending further court action.
