Honesdale man arrested for marijuana

Janine Edwards, Wayne County District Attorney announced today another arreststemming from a joint operation between the Wayne County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force and the Pennsylvania State Police.

Thomas James Robinson, age 42, of Honesdale, PA, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Ted Mikulak on July 26, 2013 for a Felony charge of Manufacturing with the Intent to Deliver Marijuana as well as Misdemeanor charges of Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia in Cherry Ridge Township.

The complaint was signed by Wayne County District Attorney’s Office Detective Peter Hower and Pennsylvania State Police Trooper James McEvoy. The arrest of Robinson occurred on July 26, 2013 as part of a combined effort between the Wayne County Drug Task Force and the PSP Vice Unit.

The Affidavit of Probable Cause states that a confidential source presented to the officers color photographs taken on July 24, 2013 depicting the interior of a barn on the Robinson property at 301 Spinner Road, Honesdale. The pictures clearly showed numerous marijuana plants in various stages of growth.

There were photographs of buckets and fluorescent lighting and cut stalks of dried marijuana on a digital scale. The confidential source was able to confirm that the barn was located on the Robinson property at 301 Spinner Road, and also was able to identify the Robinson home at that location.

Detective Hower and Trooper McEvoy received a search warrant for the barn and recovered Twenty-nine live marijuana plants,several ounces of loose marijuana and numerous flower pots of various sizes, potting soil, halogen grow lights and fluorescent lights from inside the barn located on the Robinson property.

Robinson was taken into custody by the officers and bail was set by Magistrate Mikulak at $25,000.00 cash. Robinson remains incarcerated at the Wayne County Correctional Facility awaiting his scheduled central court appearance on these charges for July 31, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at the Wayne County

Courthouse.
