Loch Sheldrake man tries to kick out police car window

On Friday June 14, 2013 at approximately 10:30 p.m., Deputies from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office responded to 136 Anawanda Lake Rd. in the Town of Thompson for a report of a domestic dispute. Once at the scene deputies separated the parties. One of the subjects involved in the dispute, Joseph W. McCombs, 33, of Loch Sheldrake became agitated and started fighting with the deputies.

He was arrested and placed in the back of a patrol car at which time he attempted to use his head and feet to knock out the side window. McCombs was charged with Felony Criminal Mischief, Assault on a Police Officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned before Town Justice Martin Miller and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $7,000 bail.
