Monticello police arrested Isaiah Roberts, 22, and Keron Neils, 20, both of Brooklyn on June 1. Both defendants were charged with misdemeanor petit larceny.

On May 28 at approximately 7PM the defendants while acting in concert with each other stole a donation jar from the front counter of the “WENDY’S” restaurant located on pleasant street in the village of Monticello.

The donation jar was for the Dave Thomas Foundation for adoption and foster care. The donation jar contained approximately $40.00. On 6/1/13 at 1:45 PM the defendants returned again to the restaurant and were recognized by employees. Monticello police were then called.

Monticello officers reviewed the surveillance footage of the incident and confirmed that Roberts and Neils were responsible for the larceny of the donation jar and they were then arrested. Both defendants are currently being held in the Monticello police lockup awaiting an arraignment in the village of Monticello justice court.
